Ok so not so much heartbreak, just hours of hard work gone wrong!
So I was playing Windsong, a supreme health white female.
It was autumn and Windsong was the Subnordinte(sp?) of the pack. She had just attempted at hunting a bison with the other Subnotdinte of the pack Changling and had a limp to her step.
By the last month of autumn she had recovered and was living her life away from the pack, often being challeneged for her positon by the omega. After a few hours she had found Nakomis, the beta of the pack and won the challenge, stealing the beta position.
She defended the position well and by the 1st month of winter she had become alpha. By the second month she had managed to mate with the alpha male and she was on all her guard, using all her senses every few minutes.
She had known the sound of hunters by now, and with the game set to Many Hunters in proved to be a challenge come winter.
After a sucsessful hunt she was walking back to the den with the alpha male dropped on the ground, having been shot by a hunter.
Running with pure terror Windsong made it back to the den, the new beta male taking the position of alpha.
During the start of spring Windsong had survived the hunters and many of her pack had been killed. It was just her, Nakomis and the pups left. Windsong had been drinking in peace when her sixth sense told her a hunter was nearby, and she didnt hesitate to warn Nakomis and run. Once back at the den the two wolves fed the puppies and then relaxed for the night Windsong staying up and pacing the den, listening for the hunters. It was morning when it happened, Windsong was shot but escaped before it could happen again Nakomis being killed in the process. With her pups gone Windsong limped away from the den, away from the hunters. Having been hunting she could hardly notice the helicopter up ahead until she saw its shadow. Trying to avoid she ran into a hunter, who didnt hesitate to kill her.
So yeah that is about 6 hours of nonstop play your looking at, all ending in Windsong loosing everything she loved, including her own life.
